A 1.3km long concrete pumping operation carried out by specialist sub-contractor Kelly Formwork on the Crossrail C310 project tunnel is being claimed as a new British record.

Also looks like we worked out a deal with Schwing to be back on ConcretePumping.com it is a little soon to announce it now but I believe it is going to work out.

We pumped 1.7 km in a tunnel in Niagara Falls and have a 2.1 km push coming up next year. With Schwing equipment.

Wow Ken, that is awsome.

As concrete pumpers shouln't we calculate vertical rise into distance pours? That would give the highrise jobs a 3x1 adder for their vertical rises. The Freedom Tower for instance would probably be at lease to 1.5km.

Very true Doug on verticle pumping. The tricky part is cleaning out all that horizontal line as we don't have the advantage of gravity. Cool

Good point. I think water is the answer. I'd really like to get away from air and all the wasted expensive concrete.

good point Doug.  id imagine when pushing concrete that far any direction, its not cheap mud.
