My brother Pat Cook who began his pumping career with George Brock and Hercules passed away today.  He loved the pumping industry and that about sums it up.

MIKE-VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS.  HE WAS TRULY ONE OF THE GREATS OF OUR INDUSTRY. HE HAD AN INNATE ABILITY TO 'CIFER' ANYTHING A PUMP COULD THROW AT HIM-AND THAT WAS EVEN BEFORE THE HORN-HONKIN 1400lb PS PUMPS OF TODAY. I AM HONORED TO HAVE MET HIM.  GODSPEED WITH HIM-JOHN (1/2 the operator he was) EATON

Thanks Todd for posting for me.  One of the last things he was thinking about was the post on your board about the  continueous flow concrete valve.  He said that back in the day they were able to use the way the Hercules Pumps were set up to do the same thing and have no surge.  Only problem was build up on the piston heads.
