After a horrible day yesterday i was just wondering why i pump concrete? I was operating a placing boom 16 storys up when my operator  below blew a clamp on the ground. i ran down and we fix it then as soon as we started pumping againg guys ran over saying the are getting sprayed by concrete i look up and the turret clamp had blew. this one we had to blow down for and then take apart. two hours later we primed out and started pumping again. 100 yard later with only 21 yards to go we pluged up in the barrels. so i was just wondering why i do this everyday? maybe you guys can help me remember.

You just have to have one of those days every couple of months to remind you how good the good days are.

I know I have had some days I would pay people to brainwash out of me.

Plugged up in the barrels? Please explain further, and what did you do about it?

i was operating the top but this is what the operator operating the bottom told me. he said he was cooling the pump down cuz it was getting a little warm and all of a sudden it just pluged up. he reversed it and it was pluged in reverse. he was working it then got it to reverse a few storkes. he said he couldnt even get a stroke out of it so i thought it was in the 6 to 5 reducer. i told him to take it off and check so he did and there was nothing. we were going to just dump the hopper and do a quick clean out and hook back up that would of fixed the problem but the forman just said we could blow down and they would use the bucket for the last 20 yards. i think he was able to put it in reverse and just kept hitting it thats what caused the rock pack in the barrels then when that happend he was pluged in forward and reverse.
