I have been on many, many jobsites working for a "respectable" contractor who builds 100's of houses every year, that leaves piles of form lumber laying around with nails sticking out, like WTF.What happened to the day when all nails were either removed or bent over. Are we all in such a hurry to not complete our job safely? What would happen if a group of kids started rumaging around these jobsites,I don't even want to think about what could happen. Are these millionares just blind to these unsafe conditions or just put money ahead of our well being.I see my "superiors" walking around totally oblivious to this situation.I do have first hand experience,.....my foot will never be the same    maybe I should be put in a home and leave the matter alone

A contractor I used to work for would fire you for failing to remove or bend nails over at the very least. I myself am surprised by how lax most places seem to be about it, and then proceed to act incensed that I won't drive over or near it. Blowing tires is one thing but stepping on or falling on nails is the real hazard.
