I wonder does any of you know for 6axle Mercedes trucks equipped with (probably Putzmeister)  concrete pump in USA?

trucks were exported to USA 1986-1989.

I think pumps are M62-5
trucks are NG 5436 and latter 6036 equipped with V10 engine, 3drive axles , version 5436 was 5axle truck fitted with 1axle trailer , 6036 are real 6axle rigids

truck on photo is for Germany, I could not find photo of US, but i post it as example.

it is Mercedes NG80, one of last examples,

base of truck is based on NG which was released in autumn of 1973in autumn of 1985 Mercededes released NG85 , as we all know M62-5 was released in autumn 1986.

It have N/A 18.27L V10 engine 355PS -370HP, those engines were very popular in construction segment because their torque curve is flat so they pull everywhere same and due low HP/L rating very durable but innefficient.

16speed ZF gearbox

3drive axle with hub reduction

it was actually build from 6x6 truck

Those trucks are bulletproof , they really last. I have still one, 28year old and both engine gearbox and drive axles are intact as well as much other things.

They usually cost twice than competition of that age, arabs and africans love them, as they are reliable, don't require any maintanance except oil. Despite fact it works in dust I don't change filters for years, in last 8years I have changed filters only twice. My use bi turbo V8 engine.

But I agree on point about maintanance and parts, getting parts for it in USA would be difficult , altrough Mercedes trucks were present back than in USA and had service network. Altrough they used same cab, i don't think that they have shared lot of parts with this one. I am also not sure how does it pass DOT standards, that engine was from 1979/80 and I think it would not fit in US emmission standards.

Even simple things like balancing tires would be impossible in USA, because in EU we use different pattern for holes on wheels, add metric system and complete unknown product.

As for MR, I don't understand why Mack don't offer some of European Volvo cabs like FM, or maybe FE for those applications
