a 2012 concord 170, 9"barrels

the s-tube does not line up with the left material cylinder but does with the right.

any experience out there why this is happening?

Change over block on baskside of hopper out a gear tooth or 2. I've seen that before.

Check your shift lever and shift cylinders a cup could be out of spec or shift cylinder lever could be worn out . out of time will usually overshift to one side and undershift on the other.

At the outside end of the shift cyl. there should be a bolt and lock nut. use this to push the cup that holds the ball at the end of the cyl. in or out. should be able to get it perfect. sometimes if the grease is getting behind the cup it will push it out and put the s-tube out of adjustment.

I would highly recommend not using bolt at base end of shift cylinders to adjust S-Tube.

The bolt will punch through the cup and will damage the ball on the shift cylinder.

The correct way is to pop out the cup at base end of the shift cylinder and install spacer to limit the throw or remove spacer to increase throw.

on a putz yesterday we had to adjust a s tube by putting a extra spacer in one side , and taking one out the other , we used a big washer , as spacer.
