It could be a remote issue or a voltage problem. You can call the remote repair dept 800 890 0269 ask for Mark. I am assuming the unit works ok on Hardwire. You can also call me and we can do a couple other tests 360 600 5695 Alan

Is the oil warmed up?? Look at the stack valves. Are they opening? And Putz will send you a loner, till you get yours fixed,if it comes down to that

Yea, watch the stack valves for full range of motion.  If they do move from stop to stop, there my be some "trash" in the monoblocks on the cylinders.  You might be abe to push it through by pressuring out the cylinder in each direction:

Move the cylinder fully in one direction and hold for 5 seconds.  Then, move in the other and hold for 5 seconds.  I usually do this twice with warm hydraulic oil to be sure to get the warm fluid to the cylinder.

If the stack valves have full range of motion and you didn't improve by pressuring out the cylinders, you may have a bypass stuck open either in the stack valve or the monoblock on the cylinder.

You can check this by swapping the hydraulic lines at the turret/a-section connection from the suspected cylinder(or stack valve) to another that works and see if the function is still slow.

PLEASE BE SURE TO CAP OR CONNECT THE LINES YOU SWAP! Not only is it a HUGE mess if you dont, the hoses will whip...and scratch the paint :)

But again, make sure the stack valves move from stop to stop fully while using the remote function.  If not, you need to adjust or repair the remote or the solenoid valve.

Good luck!

I'd go grab a hand valve and manually swing the boom to see if its any faster or the same. I swear the older I get the slooower they swing! :)

If it does swing faster manually try and make a parameter adjustment on that function and ramp the speed up a bit. If it does'nt respond you can meter the amp fluxuation at the plug on top of the solinoid at the hand valve. Then compare it to the opposite side of that function to see if the values match up?

Try the same thing on the third section. Most likely they just need a small parameter adjustment. Be sure when you're making any adjustments that the boom is Loaded. Either in between loads with concrete in the boom or you can fill the system with water also.  I've seen guys spend 2 hours in the yard "dialing their booms in" then get to the job and cant boom <out> when the mud hits the boom!
