WHO'S MIX DESIGN COST TO MUCH??  ARE YOU SUPPLING THE CONCRETE?  IF COMPANY "A" IS HARD TO PUMP YOU CAN TRY TO GET THEM TO MODIFY MIX, GOOD LUCK THERE I HAVENT HAD A LOT OF LUCK WITH #%^& HERE..  PERSONALY I DONT DO MUCH WITH MY TRAILER (SO THEREES ANOTHER LOW HOUR MAYCO FOR SALE). LATER ON 

Big Ed : Why would the guy want to cut back on the fly ash ?

            Fly ash is cheaper than Portland and makes for a more homogenous mix that'l pump easier.

            Your mix design looks good for small line pumpin.

            He wants you to choke on a chute mix, so he'll make a few more bucks.

            Tell him to honk on Bobo.

so the customer is obligated to supply a pumpable mix and when it is a pump to spec they pay yardage for wear, i would rather not have the wear and equipment abuse.

ya they will change the mix on you so if you do not get a good look at the truck ticket and know what the numbers equate to, then when problems pop up and you wonder why well its not the same material.

customers do not tell the plant that they are using a pump so when i talk to the plant about mixes and tell them to change it and tell me to have the customer call i tell them your customer and i will not put it through my ball valve pump the plant puts up the three bucks a yard to make it right.

I fought that very same problem for years in the mountains.One supplier would pump and the other wouldn't.Be carefull of how you approach this as it could come back to haunt you (via supplier) in bad reviews.Alot to has to do with how receptive quality control is and how many mix designs they have.Catch more flys with honey.
