No, they're not supposed to be A$$backwards, unless for some reason it was specially ordered and was intentionally  designed that way. It should have the rotation arrows on Both remote boxes and on the hand valve. If you cant see the arrows on the wireless for some reason check the hard wire.

 Each function Must operate in the the direction as indicated otherwise it's a safety hazard and is out of compliance. Not to mention the potential for tearing up equipment or someone flopping it over if it's short rigged etc. So be sure the arrows all jive with whatever you changed so the next person that runs it or the last person that ran it knows what's up.

 If anyone should ever have to lift the boom off of you it sure would suck having them squish you even more because the arrows were backwards.   

We had the same symtems with one of our Concords. Are issue was corrected by changing the wiring on the limiting switch on side of turret. (wired wrong from factory) problem has never come back.
