I would like to add two more comments to your repair:

1. before reassembly, you need to inspect the piston rod and cylinder barrel for scratches, gouges etc.; if you dont repair them, the new seals will be torn up in no time, and you will be doing the same repair within a few weeks/months.

2. the 4 bolts, that holds that washer to the piston, need to be secured with blue Loctite, just enough that the Loctite catches the last thread. this is cheap insurance that the piston does not seperate from the rod. DO NOT cover the bolts with Loctite, you will never get them out!

isnt blue lock tight supposed to never come apart? I think there's different colors that are different strengths

nevermind im an idiot. Its the Red Loctite that is never supposed to come apart (need torches to break it loose). My bad

there are 3 different types of Loctite, green, blue and red. green is low strenght, you can open a screw by hand; blue is medium strenght, you may need a little heat to loosen a screw, red is high strenght and I only use it when I know it is not coming apart, you more than likely break something when trying to loosen it

for the screws in the picture above, I would use either one thread full of the blue Loctite or one drop of the red Loctite

Thanks for the very useful information this simailar to the putzimester 36 m outrigger but the piston here is fixed in the opposite direction of putzimester

For the inepectoon of piston rod never try to Change seal kit for piston rod like this
