anytime it hurts the pocket book they dont want it.  Its a business that gives the image of the industry but wont let the people of the industry speak their opinion. If 302 supported the website they would all side on 302 side. Follw the money and you will solve the problem.

Mr. notwetenough believe it or not most of the people who are on this site love their job. I mean love it. So please dont make us all look like we hate our job and want to get home at all cost. I talk with operators all the time that love what they do and I am glad its the ones that love their job that call me and hang out on this site.

Now the reason I said no more union talk is not because I dont care about you guys, I really do care and I wish all operators were in a good union, a strong union. I personally wish all concrete was pumped with union operators. Not that I am taking sides, because I am not. The reason I said no more union talk is because certain people could not talk with out profaning and insulting others. The last thing I want on this page if for  one or more pissed off people venting on this page. I will not stand for that and I have no problem banning those that have to act like jerks because they feel like they have been wronged. I am not talking about you specifically but others who have to post hateful messages.

I dont care if people talk as long as it is under control. This message board was not designed to fix the union problem but I dont care if you talk about just be nice.

Hey ROOK its just not true. I love the operators and do what ever i can, letting them speak is not issue. Posts had to be deleted becouse they got out of hand. This is a G rated site. No bashing keep it positive. i dont mind if people talk, post and so on, its when it gets out of control and believe me we had to delete a lot of post over this union thing, guys were coming to blows over it and this is not the place for that. If you think its a money issue you are wrong, its all about the type of site i want. I want a site that brings people together, allows them to help each other and find solutions to problems. i can only say let my record be my judge. Not that i have not made mistakes i have. Losing Putz as a sponsor was one of them.

Last I checked this is a free country! We as Americans have the right to pursue any career we want. Sure it takes a little determination and hard work, but so does making such an effort to be negative! I believe it is the truly lazy people who do one career all their life while continually bitching about it!

Dont like who you work for? Go to work somewhere else.

Dont like what you do? Try a career change.

Dont like where you live? Move.

Oh, and how about that MEXICAN hose man, You think you have it bad? How about wrestling that tip hose around a high wall all day at the mercy of some disgruntled operator whos mad because he had to do a second job today! And all the while that hose man is making maybe minimum wage! Some of the best most hardworking operators I have worked with have been (non Caucasion).

Perhaps I am all wet but I always had the thought as equipment operators as professional people in the trades.To think there are people out there that believe I am sub standard for being who I am is wrong.

We as current and past operators have a responsibility to this industry.It has been hard over the years but the rewards have been a good living and many friends.

notwetenough I feel some of your pain, as far as 400ft system by myself, been there done that on more than one ocassion, running pumps with bypassed estop manifolds, DOT stuff that they would lock you up for, been there. Never worked for a union cause they are not in my area, but saftey glasses, i wear mine cause i hate washing concrete out of eyes, saftey vest 99% of the time it\'s a joke, who is going to run over me on the 4th floor? Its for an insurance break just like getting certified by the ACPA, frankley that test is a joke.Insurance break for the company. And why would the ACPA allow managers of the company to administer the tests!!!!! give me a good reasoning for that one. anyone who has done this more than 1 year should be able to quote it. Seconley i understand Todds point, he gets alot of money from the sponsors to run this site so i woulnt stand for badmouthing them either. Pump operators just simply don\'t get the respect on jobsites we once did fist because the companys train guys how to run a remote box and BOOM they are a pump operator, pfft. Secondley they send them out a POS piece of equiepment and the worse thing happes them or someone else is in the morge, seen it happen. Maybe something needs to be done to these companies who do this, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. WHO FOLLOW THESE PRACTICES, HOW CAN SOME GUY IN AN OFFICE WHOM HAS never BEEN THERE NOR DONE THAT come up with this goofy training guide manual whatever. Point is in my area anyway guys now days are not trained properly by any means, they havent a clue when the peverbial crap hits the fan. I just mind my buss. and get my hours and go home.

I love union and none union guys the same and so does God. i just wish all operators made as much as union guys do. They make good money and rightly so. I did not mean to exclude none union guys and i was never in the union.

notwet.... There are good days and bad days, the trick is to have more good days than bad days. If you step back and tkink about it, most days that are bad are not really all that bad. Try to be more positive about it. And there is nothing wrong with a Mexican hose man, they are a good people that want the same things you take for granted.

Now I have to challange the statement made by Todd that he wishes all non union operators would make the same as union operators! Why in the world do you want us to take a pay cut. Just because our take home pay is more then the union guys (they have to pay the union) you wish we would suffer. I AM CONFUSED! Also does Bob own the this site or Todd? I AM CONFUSED!

Also if you make more than a union guy than I stand corrected. How about this. I wish everyone made as much or more than a union guy. I just hate seeing a guy who has pumped concrete for years and he is making 15.00 an hour. That is my point.
