Try removing the intercooler and lightly power washing all the gunk out of the radiator fins and also do the intercooler. We had a 34m that kinda did the same thing cleaned it all out and no problems. If you are lazy and just clean it without taking the intercooler out you can only effectively clean about a third of the radiator. Its only a matter of the grill a couple hose clamps and a few bolts and it will make a HUGE diffrence! You will be amazed at the crap that will come out! Keep us posted.

Id be willin to bet it will solve your problem. Like I said take the intercooler all the way out and do it right...I think you can even buy a special cleaner to soak it with before u wash it. But a pressure washer with a non agressive tip will work fine. Should fix your problem I hope.

I had to do that to mine and it helped about 10 deg.. Couldn't believe the dirt that came out of radiator!!

Yard man has it. We had the same thing on a 32m

We used air to blowout,water tends to turn to mud fir some reason . We removed the tip from a blow nozzle and replaced with a 18" piece of copper tubing. This is all to common problem on the MR's,do every spring and your good to go,don't forget to carry spare belts.

How much boom do you loose goin over the cab of that KW when you gotta go over the front 36m?

4-5 ft not too bad  haven't run into any prob on job yet because of it......KW has such a great truck , Cummings engines have great power....  So many great things mack doesn't have . A/c works so good it will make you turn it off! Can even have it on low while pumping on hot days so when you get in cab it's not 150 deg like the mack!

I had this same issue and went through 2 motors, changed all cooling components , the oil cooler had issues , but also caused a head gasket problem, that in turn eventually cost me a motor. I changed to a 2 stage fan , it makes the pump run 10-15 degrees cooler, and it takes the deafening sound of that fan out of it.

36m not supose to run ac when pumping im going to tell mister perkins LOL.

cluch fan is so loud makes me go nuts .i hate it.

There was at some poimt in time a recall on the fan/fan clutch, check with your Mack dealer

02 may have the updated fan, but I know you have to ask for the updated 2 speed fan, or they give you that deafening one.

Try air valve on top of tranny.Next to shifter,spray with soapy water.

Rusty right thats a good place to start. Also check all air lines for kinks or damage on the tranny. I could definitely some internal damage in the back end of the tranny theres lots of components that it could be. Sounds like a job for the shop tho unless u find a simple air supply problem or that vents clogged. Sorry, won't be much help on this one....but at least you've got A/C now! Lol

Make sure u didnt cross an air line when u replaced shifter too...it happens to the best of us!
