Bull-frog

I do not want to sound like a a--hole,But if you can find me a crew or crews to handle that much concrete at one time, I ll buy you a beer. You can be the fastest but can they handle it?

My motorcycle will go 180+ mph...but the speed limit is 65.

That volume calculation is most likely strokes per minute x material cylinder volume. They just dont know as manufacturers that strokes per minute is rarley equivalent to yards per hour. Though it would'nt surprise me we have a SANY 37m w/10" jugs and a 9 foot stroke with dif. cylinders that are small diameter with a large piston rod, minimizing rod-side oil aswell as piston-side oil reducing the oil volume needed which makes it pump"faster" when you switch to highvolume mode. I cant get any tech. info yet on this 66 but I'm all over it.

you can only run your pump at a smooth rate, past that you are just hammering on it.

never had a finish crew that could keep up with my 30 yph ball pump ha ha

what the hells a sany anyway? 200 yp hr. is as fast as you can pump. thats around 3 minutes per load, nobody can back mixers in faster than that, Youd have to feed the pump with 2 Telebelts! I know! make'em a big ole goofy hopper out of a water'n troff or somethin

you are right Jer. Concord has the highest output@ 300yd/hr

The pump is the same thing as a car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car reads 180 mph on the dashboard but does it go 180. NOOOO

The concord that i run states that it has a max output of 220 ydrs per hour, does pump 220 yrds per hour. NOOOO
( I know from personal experience ) Heres the example:

One day i had to pump 600 yrds on a elevator pit that was 20 ft wide by 20 ft long and 28 ft deep. In order for you to get the best out of your pump here are some very important facts that the pump requires in order to pump all those many yards per hour...

- The Ready Mix Plant needs to be very close to the jobsite.
- or they got to have at least 20 trucks delivering just for you.
- You will need space on the job site that will acomodate ( 2 trucks feeding your hopper, cleanout box for 2 trucks, 1 very good guy backing up trucks to your hopper).

- Your pump needs to be so stable that you know that it wont move not even 1 inch.

- Not be any farther than 20 feet from the pour, otherwise your boom is going to become so bouncy that you will need to slow down.

- the mix needs to be perfect ( already mixed at the plant )

Well on that pour that i did, I had all these + on the job site and the best i got out of the pump was

2:48 sec per truck in one hour i got 205 yrds pumped into the big hole

SOOOO conclusion
- My car reads 180 but the max it can do is 140
- My pumps states 220 yrds per hour but the max is 205.

J.

Their claim is sales hype, nothing more.

Even at theoretical values, their claim is false. Just bluster & BS

I can pump 200yrd/hr all day long with my concord 60m #428. It is a monster. If the conditions were right I do believe I could do 300 an hr. just ask Bull-Frog h will back me up on this one.

Tiago40m 08-17-2008

hey bullfrog i know that most of us can pump alot more than 200 yrds per hour. I was refering 200 yrds per hour to my pump. I was trying to prove a point. Nobody can actually pump what they really say the pump can. The 65meter states 300yrds per hour, let me know if anybody actually ever did this. and no i never ran anything bigger than 170.

yea with that concord 225 kit on a 65m if you got it stretched out with max volume it might only rise about six inches to a foot.  but when you bring it in close to the pump it likes to bounce and whip.

Hey Petee 1st let me give congrats for running that big boy 65m. i'm sure it takes some balls to run that machine. Anyways i dont know why but all of you seem to have a bad impression about Concord and them bouncying like crazy. My 40m isnt that bad at all. and if i'm close to the pump its even better. The truth is that if u a lil streched out it bounces, but depends on alot things like THE SET UP, THE MIX , THE DISTANCE, AND MORE.....

20 cell putz says 260 and it will do every bit of it 10 yd load in a little over 2 minutes but i have never had r/mix that could keep up so its pretty useless its just a sales tool 220 yd cell is all i have ever needed anything else in my opinion is a waste of money

hey tioga40m, If you you woulda added a little water, You prbly. would'a hit that 220 mark. Ive ran em 5 years and they can lay it down ! As far as the topic here, SANY has pumped some Monster prodjects, Penom-pey, the Dam in china that consumed so much cement it spiked concrete costs world wide. Its possible! I wont have any 66m info right away. But I can give ya some hard facts on SANY 37m by this week sometime, I'm turn'n her up first chance I get!   OH yeah!... "gatduong!" thats chinese for "pump-on" I spelled it exactly how the translator said it.

WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYBODY OPERATE A CONCRETE PUMP WIDE OPEN FOR HOURS ON END.  THATS ABOUT AS STUPID AS IT GETS.  ARE YOU TRYING TO WEAR OUT YOUR PUMP AS FAST AS POSSIBLE?  If I had an employee operate a pump wide open all the time he would not work for me.  Absolute no need ever to do this.

bri 08-19-2008

I can not even turn my pump all the way up unless I am pumping water>

WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE HAVE/OWN A PUMP THAT COULD NOT PERFORM LIKE GOOD, REPUTABLE PUMPS ARE DESIGNED TO. These machines are made to keep up with todays demands. The really good ones can do it day after day...Obviously there are "big booms" out there that have not been on jobs bid by the yard that require 50 yds per hr minimum, and the contractor is hoping for a 100+yds per hr perhaps its a lack of confidence or simply dont realize the pumps potential. When I first entered the big league. and had customers tell me repeatedly to "turn it up" & "dont turn it off" I thought something was gonna explode. but for instance later schwg. 1200's & especially 2023's can not only pump all day, wide open, but with good service and a qualified operator, can do it day, after day, week after week these are "good" pumps. If there's an outfit that would fire a guy for meeting the customers needs, you probably shoudnt be working there anyway. A "bigboom" that cant deliver sounds like a huge waste of big $$$. Evolve with todays demands or you'll be left stand'n in the mud wish'n you had a little more volume capabilities, with the rest that lack performance. So "bigboom" find a big matte pour and turn it up. you might be surprised what your machine can do!

Dear Tootall,  with all due respect I entered the big leagues about the time you were in high school.  As far as pump potential,  i've operated overhead roll and fold SCHWINGS for almost twenty years.  I know what the outputs and pressures that are available on most any pump,  however I stand by what I said that you are not going to operate a pump at full volume without problems.  You can consistantly get about 130 to 150 per hour under ideal conditions.  Unless in your area you have the best delivery service in the world, you will very seldom get that kind of delivery.  Im not trying to pick a fight with anyone, just trying to keep you and others from having problems.  I've operated a 61 meter schwing with the big rock valve for a little over three years and the absolute most I could get out of it was 185 per hour. And NO BODY makes a better concrete pump than SCHWING!!!!!

TooTall,

Ease up. You can not 'sell' that fast.

The proper setting for the BS switch is about 4.5 with 1750 rpm. No one will buy into that at any higher setting.

Don't get all " Tom Tuttle of Tacoma" on us, please.

Bigstick, I'd like to apologize for run'n my mouth(or fingers) to an elder(ha,ha) Before I reply to anyone, I'll check out their profile and yours lacked a little info. I guess I was refering to my placing boom days when even at W.F.O.(wide freak'n open) some contractors still asked for more volume. Im just glad I used "SCHWING" 1200 & 2023's as an example. Or the Bigstick-Schwingman would've really unloaded! (by the way, you're right, in highschool I was wash'n & park'n Thomsens & Elbas, a far cry from the "big-leagues" sorry man.     Oh, Hey Raymond, clue us in on the " ;) " I seen it follow other dumba$$ coments before & I know its not chinese? lol !

T T

My guess is that he was giving a smile for the preceeding post. He got it.

When you get on a roll we can't tell whether you are reading the pump manual or the chairman's little red book.

The trick to knowing about a pump is how it acts after ... say 10 years; they all pump when they are new. In dog years you have had 40 some pumps. Stick with one and then tell me about it. ;~)

P.S.   Is there really a "CHAIRMAN" w/a lil' red book and how much does that position pay? (please fwd contact info). ha,ha, lol!
