as far as i can tell they are their own design/

when the battery goes weak the boom takes off out of control! Pumpstar tells me it is an upgrade to make the machine shut down on a weak battery

But the box does not use replaceable batteries it is internal

like a cell phone. if you lose battery all you have is a 10 foot cord to the ciggarett lighter

Sounds like an accident and a lawsuit waiting to happen. Pumpstar bought Hanwoo concrete pumps division or whatever was left of it (We all know thos Hanwoos aren't exactly selling like hotcakes). So I'm sure they have their hands full with that now.

I would tell Pumpstar that the "upgrade" needs to be done NOW and at their expense. As far as the hard wire length you can order cable at any length you want and transfer your existing ends over.Just make sure that the cable you order has the correct number of wire in it plus 1 or 2 spares.

HEY DJ,I'M A FORMER PUMPSTAR ELECTRONICS SERVICE MAN.THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE NEW PUMPSTAR RADIOS,THAT WHEN THE INTERNAL BATTERY VOLTAGE DROPPED BELOW A CERTAIN LEVEL,THE JOYSTICK FUNCTIONS ALL ACTIVATED IN THE DOWN POSITION.THIS IS A SIMPLE SOFTWARE ISSUE,THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO DONE ON ALL THE RADIOS.AS OF WHEN I LEFT PUMPSTAR IN APRIL,THERE WERE STILL LIKE 3 OUT THAT HAD NOT BEEN UPDATED.I WOULD CALL PUMPSTAR,ASK FOR BRENT OR JON,TELL THEM THE PROBLEM,AND THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU.PUMPSTAR IS VERY PROUD OF THERE SERVICE RECORD,AND WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP WITH ANY PROBLEMS.IF YOU CAN'T GET ANY ANSWERS EMAIL ME AND I'LL SEE IF I CAN HELP.GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE
