what are peoples views about having 10 inch cylinder instead of 9 inch? advantages disadvantages

i was talking with someone today and they reckon that with 10 inch clylinders on a boom pump youll have trouble pumping blockfill, but doesnt flow control slow the stroke to nearly 0

any thoughts would be great

the mixer driver has to be alert  , make sure full hopper all the time
