the boom is actually about 20' from the power line and it was not live.  As for raymond, nice youtube of your family album!  I just *#*Xing hate the B.S. you have to put up with on this site if you want to post a pic.

if you are not doing something stupid then there is no problem, i put heaps of pxt up that are stupid jobs but they are all safe and people dont say anything. if you said from the start saying the lines where not live you would not of had a probem, why say 17 foot promise when they are not even live.

Dear elkhunterz please take no offence at my friends response to your pictures of you booming over power lines.

Just incase you don’t know,

1.       It is illegal to boom over or under power lines.

  1. Power line Accidents used to be the number one killer in our industry.
  2. This web site has spent thousands of dollars promoting power line safety.

Here is one thing to remember that you can post your pictures in the Photo Hopper (link to the left) and I drought anyone would ever say a word about it, but if you post your picture on the message board than your picture is up for discussion.  Your headline reads (17 ft promise on the power line) so right away you bring peoples thoughts to safety. You don’t tell anyone how hard it was to get the power turned off, we don’t see the power company truck and so on.

Just remember if you post your picture up on the message board people are going to talk about it. I personally love your pictures because it helps to bring up safety issues and make these guys think about it.

Elkhunterz don’t get all upset just understand what is going on and bla bla bla.

Have a good day and keep posting my friend.

Since I was the first to start talking $hit, I'll be the first to apologize... sorry man? If I had known that was a cold wire I woulda gave you the "pump on". Please dont stop posting pictures. We have had alot more positive discissions regarding your posts than negative ones!
