Hey guys just wondering if anybody has pumped 18,000 psi concrete before. We're starting on Saturday the 27th.  Did a test pour probally will get about 30 yds a hr.  The machine we're using is a 14,000bsa(putz).  Already pumped about 20,000 yds of 16,000, and everyhting works just fine.  But this 18,000 is some nasty stuff, if anybody has any recomondations please advise.   Thanks

i would make sure the pour is as constant as the trucks are coming mininum the stops. make sure everythings ready to pour and that every body is on the same page as you. nasty stuff man the best thing i can say is keep it moving.

I would love to see the batch design for that. 12,000 psi made me nervous, 18,000 psi, that will keep you on your toes

Well it depends depends on weather and reclaim water and air and chems, it will not head pack thats one less thing to worry about, keep it moving is good suggestion. I did 50mpa and 2% calcium on hot days, slip forming. Just kept it moving and had a emergancey dump site if I had to blow out and pull a sponge hehe.
