Perhaps I'm all wet,but why a ball valve?.A swing tube is way more versatile. With a ball valve your to limited on the work you can do. Call or write Fred@http://www.usedconcretepumps.com/ I have known him for his honesty and straight forward views. |

Schwing is really good with the Wisconsin engine. Stay away from m#*!o and the Nissan engine; not enough torque, just burns up clutches and surges the line. BTW; I've got a ?95 P-88 for sale; about 7K. Reply if interested. |

good pump but so is my 1969 international truck. take a look at the material cost in 2000 the grout mix was $4- a yard more and customers would not go there. now it is $14- differance, well that means you will have to pump for free to equal the other guys cost of operation. it will take years to recover your cost on any pump so are you in pump business or running your overhead up. go buy something that you are going to use everyday. plate wacker, utility trailer, T shirts for your customers. |

ball valve pumps have there place but or limited to what they can do,you need to look at your cost difference between mechanical and hydraulic. If all your gonna do is pump I would have to go hydraulic with an s-tube more versatile and your not limited to just a grout or p-gravel mix. |

The Schwing is a good pump and so is a Mayco. even with a Nissan. The problem is with a Wisconsin they no longer manufacture the VH4D and the parts are hard to get and expensive. but they do run a long time. if there was a P88 and a C30HDN sitting next to each other I would not even look at the P88 I would buy the Mayco C30HDN. You would have better resale when you want to up grade. All said from the looks of your zip code Souther Cal. (O C ) We have good material here and either pump will work will. Good Luck |

The ole ball and seat machines. No hyd oil just straight forward mechanics. You can not beat them for small jobs. Just make sure you get a grout mix when using it. Damn I remember having to stand on the belt wheel to disldge roks in the seat. A guy in FL mounted a supercharged 350 to his ball and seat. It was something else to say the least (the 80's were fun times)The good ole days. |
