Hi I own a Mayco the best thing to do if its playing up is change both proximity switches as this is normally the problem on these pumps. I Change mine every time I service it they are only £25 each and keep a spare with the pump at all times.

Why would you change your proxy switches if they are not bad, trade that pump and buy your self and OLIN.

Olin is the best Ball Valve pump on the market and what Dave told their S-tubes are second to none, the rear hopper plate is easy taken off for getting to the S-tube.And they also are a site sponsor.

mcratchet,

I am sorry to hear that you had a pooor experience with the MQ Service Department.

After reading your post, I contacted service and reviewed the correspondence and notes from the 3 conversations and various emails between MQ Service and yourself (I assume it was you).

It is my understanding that this pump was purchased recently and has never been run by the purchaser.

Looking at the photo's, it would appear that the control panel has had a serious water intrusion issue.  In addition, it looks like there has been some modifications made from the original design.

As explained during the Friday conversation you had with Carl & Eduardo, the control panel seems to be too far gone to properly diagnose over the phone.  It was suggested to repair locally.  Alternatively, let me now offer for you to ship that box back to MQ and we will give you an estimate to repair.

As to the wiring diagram, might I suggest the schematic in the manual on the MQ web site.  A cursory read by my layman self shows 2 white wires from TB1-25.  The 1st goes to the throttle solenoid (PG 125 & 127).  The 2nd goes to the Emergency Cycle Switch (Page 123).

Call me if you wish to discuss.  800-421-1244, x1320.

Hope that helps.

Richard
