Anyone have any electrical issues with there newer macks? My operator drove to site setup and pumped for a few hours then truck died went to start back up and was stone dead.Boosted it and got pumping again but had to leave a battery charger on the whole time got a new altenator and batteries rushed out replaced them after the pour but volt metre in cab only reads 12 at all times. He doesnt have a volt metre to test output and is out in the middle of no where so cant confirm what the new one is putting out but something is defenatly drawing power some where all the conncetions are tight as well. This is on a 38 5 sec z alliance |

I have seen this problem once. On the machine I am refering to; when the old ALT went bad it also blew the fuse that supplied power to the exciter side of the ALT. Send me an email eric.wright@liebherr.com and I will respond with a picture of the charging circuit in the new MRU which shows the location of the fuse. |

I got it narrowed down its a bad wire going from altenator to batterys the maxi fuse is fine pretty poor for a brand new truck 900 engine hours and have this kinda trouble exhaust manifold is cracked water pump is leaking power mirror quit working and wont switch from vents to defrost lol but thats about it |

Its sad the amount of problems these newer trucks have. I just had a 2015 that had a wiring harness replaced because it had a break in it. Also had a 2014 a little before that needing a wiring harness. |

I can't blame them. If everyone just keeps buying (and many even swear with this brand) i would also not bother to use money on improving the quality. |
