Putzmesiter says its new 42-5 truck-mounted concrete pump incorporates more than 300 new ideas, designed to improve efficiency in use and in economic terms, make servicing easier and improve environmental performance and safety.

A key feature of the 40 m class machine is that the vehicle weight, including auxiliary equipment, is less than 32 tonnes, an important weight threshold in many countries. The hydraulic oil tank has been reduced to just 300 litres, servicing the machine has been made easier thanks to better and common fasteners and the boom is more rigid as well as quieter in operation.

The 42-5 also features a new look, which will be common across all of Putzmeister's -5 machines as they are introduced. The company will also have a 30 m class BSF36-4 truck pump on display.

New in the Pumi truck mixer concrete pump range is a new 'Generation 5' rotor pump, which features a new hopper geometry for better suction and mixing qualities. This new TMP65Q rotor pump can be used in conjunction with 7 m3 concrete mixer trucks and 21, 24 or 26 m booms.

New from the trailer pump range is the 1005 D, a 52 m3/h machine with a pumping pressure up to 7 bar. The machine is designed for small scale projects in hard-to reach locations, such as residential extensions or renovations, but it can also be used for concrete spraying.

Also new is the BSC 1409D, a tracked, mobile concrete pump designed for use on rough terrains. The main application for this is to provide concrete for bored piles, and the fact that it can travel over difficult surfaces and is quick to relocate should give it the edge over truck-mounted pumps in such applications.
