If you live in the USA I personally would not buy a Sermac, They are fairly new to the USA market, I know a couple people who own them and the remotes are not standard at least that is what I hear and they have to be relearned. I also hear that they have to back order pumps, I don’t know if that is true or not. I personally have not gotten along with management either; I have found them to be rude. I know they have a few really good salesmen, good guys but as far as the guys at the top go I have not had any good experiences. I think its just to soon to say about Sermac at this point and if your buying your first or second pump I think its better to go with a pump that is more established in the USA.

Antonelli sold the 34 metre 5 stage "Z" under folds which has now been extended to a 35 metre 5 stage "Z" under fold. In Australia we build several 34's with our 170M3 cells. We have done one 35 this year and another in build now.

Performance wise, with our cell the Antonelli is much smoother, no bounce and will S--t over the Huncrete's for operator and hose friendly "on job" performance.

Where to get one? Go to Reed, their 35 would be Antonelli with Wizinger cell and dragonfly legs. Great outrigger design, we obtained a 42 with these legs due to an insurance claim ...... love the dragonfly concept.

Speaking of that Ser*#$ pump I saw my first one yesterday on a job and I must say I wasn't impressed. 5 section 41 meter on four axles. Why would you want that extra few feet of reach over a 39 or so, and have to deal with the loss in turning radius? Just doesn't make sense to me. Further the pump was not very smooth and the boom seemed to be all over the place. Todd about that remote yes it is and very very tiny; difficult for big hands to use.

I have a winter 2007 Concrete pumping magazine. There is a SERMAC add in it showing the boom. One thing I noticed is the boom cradles for the boom pipe are in two pieces. There is a stub coming out of the boom itself and then the rest of the cradle attaches with four little bolts. I am not sure about this design.

Thanks for the Antonelli tip! I always wondered who made the Putz Booms.

Transcrete in Sydney have the 35 metre 5 stage Antonelli booms with their 150M3 or 170M3 pumping cell. They fit it on a Merc Benz single steer, weight wise legal on the front axle in Queensland & W Aust only. They have dealers in all states. Booms have "X" front outriggers, not the dragonfly style.

Yes, it is an Aussie design and the best way to find out about the reliability is to talk to some owners. Transcrete will give you a list in all states.

Yes, go to www.cifa.com, they have a 5 section z style boom with all 5 inch line 35 meter,  it also has their patented final section that rotates 360 degrees.  You can download the complete specs on the site . I do not know if they have them here in the states, they are very extremley popular abroad, and would be the same bullet proof pump kit as on their 36 meter. If you are interested they are pretty cool guys and would work with you to mount on a american chassis. call them at 877-243-2345 ask for my freind bob miller he will hook you up.
