(Sept 08 2015) - Congratulations to Economy Concrete taking delivery in August of their first 2016 model

42 meter DY Concrete Pump. This compact 5 section 42 meter boom is mounted on a single steer front

tridem rear drive axle Western Star chassis which is powered by a 470 hp Detroit DD13 engine and a full

air ride suspension for super comfort. This chassis meets highway weight requirements and replaces the

old style tandem / tandem chassis. One of the best chassis improvements over the tandem /tandem is

that all three rear axles are drive axles providing 30 % increase in traction on jobsites as well as lower

operational costs compared to the tandem steer chassis. In late August Economy Concrete took delivery

of another brand new DY Concrete Pump this purchase being a 37 meter model mounted on a new

Freightliner to compliment Economy’s fleet.

tractor. Our drivers enjoy the better ride, more room and the trucks are an absolute pleasure to drive.

The 37 meter 4 section allows us to reach as far inside of shops for placing slabs as our Z boom does. The

third section folds to 270 degrees enabling boom placement inside buildings 65ft through standard

overhead doors. The finishers love us!

With the commercial work in our area, and larger homes being built we also require a reach pump. The

42 meter 5 section meets all our needs and then some. Customers have told us that our competitor’s

pump will not reach what our 42 meter DY Concrete Pump does. The customer is always right!
