Which do you prefer? I my honest opinion a five section boom is so much better in every aspect, most of all while pumping an elevated slab. I used a 58m doing an elevated deck when I worked for company ex and was not able to do the job because the last 2 sections were way too long. ANyone ever run into this prob? I love running my 60m Concord for PumpCo. Give me any job ill figure out a way to do it with this pump.

Sometimes the 5 section can hurt you on an elevated deck if you are parked really close to it. All the sections end up fully articulated and you are not quite to the edge of the deck depending on what floor you are pouring. They both have their ups and downs but i prefer a 5 section just because I believe they are smoother due to the shorter sections. They dont get as much flex like a big fishing pole.

There is that one spot where you wish that you had a roll and fold boom. 5 section of course. The other 999 times your boom is perfect.... your 5 section multi z. I never wished I had a 4 section anything. ;~)

5 section every time. even tho the pump i operate now is a 4 section i certainly miss the 5 section. my last boom was a roll/z fold 5 section and that was great.

A five section is way more versital. I love operating the 61 4 section but, the 5 section putz is still my favorite. 5 section booms can pump a lot faster because there is not near as much boom bounce. Here's an example, with the 4 section, the most I have ever done was 190 yds an hour. With a 5 section I have averaged 230 yds an hour with going around a laser screed.

Those big boom 4 section machines are fishing poles, not placing booms

your right bob, thats why a 63 putz will just have to play in the park, and fire flys

and that 63 putz 5 section cannot sniff around indoors
