Are they getting ready to pump concrete or are they using them for pumping water.  If pumping concrete what kind of material are they using?

Granddad,

The particulars of site are not completely clear yet at this time.

What I have been told from PMJ and Tepco are the units are pumping water as needed for cooling and/or spent fuel storage, they are using the pumps to do this they have plenty of water volume with the pump they don’t need to plug in a higher out put pump to do what they are accomplishing with the Putzmeister Pump.

They will pump concrete at some time in the future but the Mix design and details are not discussed yet because the job is being addressed as they go. It is not known to us if they will build a containment facility over or, burry like Chernobyl, this will depend on how things progress.

Unlike a job that is engineered and designed years before building, the Japanese are working on this as the need and priority present to them, with the long term goals for containment and the best interests for the site and the world foremost.

Satruday PMJ setup and allowed the Dealers and customers to visit the Facility and view the Pumps, I was told guys drove and flew in from all over Japan to see the Monster 70M pumps.

We displayed and demonstrated the pumps for the day, Boom deployment setup fold down and versitility of driving the units.

Lunch and refreshments were served and a LOT of Pictures were taken.

Thanks Alan,  My mind gets thinking about what to use  and how far.  You know reduntant lines etc. I keep thinking a self consolidated mix.  Keep us informed it definitely looks like a challenge.  How was the language barrier, I'm guessing they had translaters but not everything translates easy.  Simple things like I said stop,  I said stop NOW!!!  Good work and keep it up, you definitely have a story to tell your grandchildren.  As a matter of fact I would like to hear the story.
