back in 1997 at pochin\'s i was given the first new putz 52 to be brought in to the country ..when they were looking in to it they toy\'d with the idea of a trailer mount\'d 52 but went for the truck mount\'d one thank god.....what i\'m wondering about is has many people seen trailer mount\'d 52\'s????? what i\'m Curious about is how difficult the new 70m would be to get to and from site and how hard it would be setting up on site and having to move it around a site to |

I have seen the trailer 52\'s and they can be a problem on jobsites. The common enemies are of course wet/mud,just bad soil as in compaction, jobsite conditions such as area, all they things you see daily. These problems are now multiplied by using the trailer.I would say at this point operator understanding of basic tractor trailer knowledge is formost. Also educating the contractor is another concern, want the bigger boom then they have to plan for it just like moving a crane. With that being said keep in mind these are some really big pieces of heavy equipment and heavy to.Yes you can jack knife on on mud,not reserved for ice and snow only. They are top heavy and will go over in a heartbeat. It will surely be a learning curve for everyone involved, the price of the future.

OLDSCHOOL-2 I was talking about FIXING the engine, not operating the pump. As far as operating the pump goes, most operators said they liked the \"T&T\" set up. Hey T. how many did youall order? ;~) |

in my opinion the putz trailer 52z is the best designed pump. it is so versatile. my dad runs a trailer 52 and i run a 52 straight truck. his turns so much better than mine plus you will never get stuck on a jobsite. well unless its like mud or something. you can turn the trailer 52 around 360 degress without even getting inside the cab. o and that pic is of a trailer 50 meter not a 52 |

Correct me if I\'m wrong, but if they are so great why don\'t they make them anymore? I\'ve always been fascinated with them though I\'ve never seen one in person around NJ. Could you detach the pump from the truck and still use it? |

You are right, the tractor must be attached. The trailer has a hyd\' cyl\' on the front with a hook on the end. The tractor has a 6\" x 1\" bar bolted across the two frame members. A chain attaches the truck to the trailer and the truck is lifted with the hyd\' cyl\' to provide the counterweight mass needed for overall stability. Unless someone wanted the op to pull into a mud hole or on loose sand it was well accepted by the people that operated them. I hope that if they begin to once again mfg\' these units for the American market that they are mounted on trailers with American running gear, not the EU stuff that is not in stock and costs too much. |

the tractor is used as a counter weight. the trailer has a hook that hooks to the frame of the tractor. for the question on can you use the pump with out the tractor. yes it will function but very unsafe because it is used as a counter weight. my dads pump is a 2001 thats the newest one that i know of i am sure you could still get one brand new it would just be a special order or something. i think they are more expensive too. |
