Somewhere out there, there's a tip section...laying on the ground....alone....scared....un-loved

Correct and professional.

An engineered safe solution, not a stress test of a standard unit.

Todd should put this fine example in his definitions: CAISON PIPE   ;~)

oregonfan6285 09-26-2008

what do you mean john john this is a putz design so putz must not care

johnjohnjohn 09-27-2008

hanging it without a crane. putz design or not, i'm sure even they have weight limits on that thing. either way it doesn't matter. it looks like you did a good job.

oregonfan6285 09-27-2008
reply profile send pm notify

ya there are weight limits. that is why we took the 5th section off of the boom. this is a 47 putz 5 section

Chains aren't just for mixers anymore...This is a good hookup to keep the pipe and hose from a freefall.

johnjohnjohn 09-28-2008

another thing i see is the chains. the problem with chains is they are only as strong as their weakest link. cable is lighter and stronger. again though, good job. it's good to see a tough job go good so that all go home.
but how did you clean that thing out? did they make you put it back in the truck? tom made me do that with a fifty footer in los angeles so it wouldn't surprise me. haha

the pipe comes in four sections so we just take the clamp off and wash it out with are water hose
