Hey Cat.

Just wondering.??? Have the 66, 72 been proven as yet for Sany? And is there any pictures of this outside the factory under testing or use yet. Only pictures I have seen to date have been in the press release hall with just one section open. Maybe two sections.

I have not even seen a 66 or 72 shown in use to date. But I could have missed them. Normally Putz will put out a video of it working or testiing without being painted yet but show it operable before any fancy press releases. Even Jun Jin/Alliance in the past will show a product working in any press releases on the Jun Jin/Alliance sites.

Right now I think Putz and Alliance/Jun Jin are the pumps in the market place to beat. Schwing is still a great product but have really felt the rath of the economy real hard. Hard to watch Schwing just go through the motion like they are. But they are not the only ones for sure.

I think its a great looking pump. I am sure they did not build it to just look good. As soon as I get some video of it I will post it.

86 Meter is 283,8 feet long I hope that pump has enough power tp push it out cause that would be a very long boom party.

What in the world is going on? 66m, 72m, 86m, and now cifa/zoomlion's 80m there's even a video of it pumping.

Gotta agree with everyone else..it's all very well to make claims but we've never seen any of the monstors pumping concrete, let alone flat stick pumping which they must be able to do or they are useless in my opinion. At least Putz have their 70 m proven and until someone shows us the videos of a couple of job site then Sany and Zoomlion are just pumping out propoganda rather than factual information. Hopefully the Guiness Book of Records people dont fall for it once again.  Anyone can engineer a mock-up but what we want to see is a concrete boom pump of this size actually working on a daily basis and then it can be believed.

SANY has delivered both 66 and 72 meter pumps to customers but construction of the 86 meter was only recently completed.  I have asked that a video be made of both the 72 and 86 with boom out while pumping concrete and will post it soon.

Hey 318 let me know when you post those videos, if you dont have a place to host them i would love to host them.

318 - Thanks for the update. How many are out working of the 66 and 72? Where have you delivered them? Be great to see a working video pumping concrete. As you well know there is rumor all over about the Sany Pumps. We have seen pictures of a few loaded with concrete at Auctions too.

Your videos would put some rumor to rest. Do you work for Sany? If you do it would probably be good for you and Sany to identify yourself to promote the product in a positive way on this site. Sany has made a huge investment in Georgia and I think to identify the people working Sany like PUtz does would benefit your marketing.

Travel tech from Putz has been a huge asset here for sure. Sany has recruited some high end people from the industry. Be good to put them out there for positive association with your company on a forum like cp.com. I know Todd would welcome like he does Travel Techs input and others.

Concreteluvr - I do work for SANY and have been with them in Georgia for more than 2 years. We have many respected and talented people from the industry and announced some of them in the Fall issue of Concrete Pumping magazine. Look for more in the future...

I don't know production numbers for the 72 but know at one is privately owned.  I have personally seen 66 meters in production without fan fair.

Thanks 318. Great to hear the Sany side. In the rumor mill. Sany has not actually sold a pump in the US market as yet. Since trying to first enter in 2004 or around that.? Also on the excavation side sales are very limited. Now Sany announces 20 million more in expansion in Georgia. From a business side. How does this work for you guys?

There is no end in site for our economy. CAT has had a almost decent year but with most of its sales out of the country. The US for CAT has been slow at best.

Not only in pumps with Sany but it is hard to figure out the business strategy of Sany. Most of the Deere and others have only seen limited sales in the municipal departments around the country and just some contractor business. FInancing being tough as well.

The three pumping companies that Sany set up are now closed and did not make money. The pumps have gone to auction and offshore. Sany has invested hundreds of millions here in the states alone with no return in site. Even being a government owned business it would seem at some point the investment would not make sense.

In these times nobody is celebrating big sales. Zoomlion, Sany are building bigger pumps at a huge cost with no outlet for them. Even putz was lucky to get their 70 meter pumps out of here and into a paying situation in Japan.

I am not bashing or ripping on Sany because most manufactures are stuggling but have some sales. But just curious how Sany manages to grow in this market with no sales.???

THanks for your input 318. It will put a lot of speculation and rumor to rest being explained from a Sany point of view. Appreciate the pictures, any video and continued info goiing forward.

Have a great one.

SANY’s decision to enter the US market was made years before the great recession.  As the economy slowed, there was a realization that each market requires unique product lead by local experts.  As a result, the past two years have been focused on product development, facility planning / construction and team building.

Our top management is passionate about concrete and has a long term view of the North American and European markets.   Investment here will improve the product and knowledge base for all markets.

Resources to sustain during the down market come from SANY’s leadership position in Asia with sales of over 4000 concrete pumps per year globally.  SANY is not government owned.  It is privately and publicly held with stock trading on the Shanghai exchange (0631.HK)

Regarding sales in North America, SANY America has delivered pumps to six new customers in 2011 and are working on several more.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help shed some light.  I’ll be sure to post video of the 72 and 86 at our earliest.

that pedestal looks very small to me for a lot of boom hanging off it..... compared to my 63... just an observation

Good Luck with things.

I run a 36 meter Putz and know the set up time and clean out using sponges. Just out of curiosity how long would it take to set this monster up. I must take like 1/2  hour alone just to unfold the boom. Then there is the clean out. Somehow I don't think sucking back sponges is an option but, I could be wrong.

I would like to know the cost of this beast and if it would or could ever be a viable investment. I am not sure it would be.
