very nice indeed! its ironic because while pumping on the highrise yesterday my partener called on the radio and said that if the mixer drivers kept it up that he would have an entire tool box by the end of the pour. we ended up with several screwdrivers wrenches and ratchets. just think if they would have made it out the other side. it could have very well hurt someone.

Mojo Thank the lucky stars that's all that happend. Please remember we are often blamed for circumstances beyound our control. Many people become innocent victims of quality control, but yes bad judgement can do the same.I trust this will not affect you in the years to come. My Best |

When I was in training there were two chains that made it into the hopper, one hanging from the grate and into the left cylinder and the second wrapped around the agitater. Remember that Joey |

Thank the lucky stars that's all that happend. Please remember we are often blamed for circumstances beyound our control. What happened to your foot? How were you injured? **************************************** Mixer drivers feel that way too. They don't screen the loads, they just drive & discharge the crete. |

Old worn out clamp on main discharge elbow, pump not tarped. |

An operator DOES have a responsibility to check his gear before the pour. ****************************** Separate issue [maybe] Using acid on your pump is not cool for hundreds of reasons. One of the potential downsides is to have the acid eat the threads off of the adjustment bolt or nut on a clamp. These are very fine threads that provide the max amount of transfer contact between the bolt and the nut and also give fine adjustment of the available tension from/to the clamp. These fine threads are easily 'eaten' by the acid. Just a thought. |

Off Topic Try using 'Backset'. a milder, enviromently friendly and does impair the guy using it. does not have the corrosivness of acid, does not hurt cromed rams but will leave 'legs' if left on the truck and boom paint too long. very nice stuff. when i was very green, had my prime port clamp strip on a plug priming. mixer and i were standing pretty close, that cap hit the underside of the shute landed at our feet. then came the rain of rocks. |
