The concrete pumping industry & Berkeley Concrete Pumping lost a good man! Chris Graf ,an operator I have known since 1979,when he broke in at Action Concrete Pumping, died of a sudden heart attack yesterday in Clear Lake,Ca.Chris and I had worked together for many years, and he had the soul of a pump man.He always tried very hard to do the BEST job he could!Chris left his mark wherever he worked,at Action,at Galletti&Sons,at Standridge, and at Berkeley, where he ran their 52m.Affectionetly known as "Springs"for his unique way of walking ,He will be missed GO WITH GOD,Chris...Tangleboom

If it would be ok with his family and if you guys are up for it, I would love to do a dedication page for him, picture of him and his pump, maybe of his family and so on but I would need the ok from his family and I would need pictures. I would be willing to set up the web site and put a message board up for those of you who know him to post your thoughts and kindnesses about him. If those who know him would be up for helping me with pictures and info about him I would think that it would be a kind way for this industry to show a sort of tribute to him.

These days it’s hard to find men who are well respected and loved and it sounds like this industry has suffered a loss.

We are saddened for this industries loss and for the loss and pain the family is suffering.

CHRIS WAS A GOOD MAN AND A CO-WORKER WHO LOVED HIS WIFE AND KIDS. THE BEST PICTURE I HAVE IS THE COVER OF OUR OPERATING ENGINEERS CONTRACT, HE IS RUNNING GALLETTI'S OLD 32M PETE. CHRIS AND I GO BACK ABOUT 15 YEARS. GOD BLESS SPRINGS ! WE WERE IN THE YARD TOGETHER FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT THE FUEL STATION , CHATTING ABOUT A FEW THINGS , I WILL MISS HIM DEARLY. I AM AT A LOSS OF WORDS RIGHT NOW...

I WILL TRY TO KEEEP EVERYONE INFORMED.

What a tragic loss for our industry. It really weighs heavy on my heart when i hear of good people going to be with the lord earlier then we would have liked. My heart felt condolences to the family. I will remeber you in my prayers and add you to my churchs prayer list. I hope one day to meet this outstanding man in heaven and share some pump stories.

Russ

Chris  a good Friend  for 28 years. Roomates 25 years ago when we single and crazy. Worked together for the past 17. Always their when you needed help like in a boom party. Was quik to tell me when I ran his pump if I left something not cleaned but than would say "forget about it". It is hard for me to believe he is gone I will miss his smile and helping hand. GOD SPEED
