Hey todd.. Just wondering why your asking?? I hardly ever use anything else than plastic on 40/42m. (but thats in Norway.. Only rock bottom)

Is there anything wrong with plastic? I never had any issues before but now on the last pump I had there where 2 plastic plates that was something wrong with.. The just snapped in to about 5 pieces!! And it wasn't so specialy cold or bad ground or anything.. I felt it was a production error. Ive seen some of these plates bend like almost 45 degrees but never seen them snap before. A bit scary it was.

something like that but their are solid plus it was good ground
