With a schwing you won't be done. Schwings will continue pumping the mud even with a blown bladder, sometimes you won't even notice it's blown until you try to pump a really harsh and dry mix. If you want one to change on the job though, you ought to order a complete one from Schwing and just change the entire bottle. You won't be able to rebuild a bottle on a jobsite. First, it can take about an hour sometimes. Second, you need a very clean environment to rebuild it, if you get dirt inside the bottle, then the bladder is just going to blow again as soon as you pressurize it. Any hydraulic shop will be able to get the rebuild parts for you though. It's either a bosch or hydac and it's either 4 or 6 liters. Look on google for it if you're not in a big city. |

Your right CP1. if any thing you will have to reduce volume control so rock can keep up with the pump kit.those are hydac bottles. CPR in Minnasota will exchange rebuilt for your blown one at a reasonable cost. I think aroud half the price of new. If your unit is using pretension off accumulator circuit for pumpkit and accum pump goes out you dead in the water. SAI has accum bypass kit and it is easy to insall just follow the directions. You could have enough parts in shop to make it.Good luck |

its a good habit to stock parts for rainy days. accumulaters is one of those things you never know.if you stock it you may never need it,if you dont you need it tommorrow or right now. allways a good investment though. |

Read your post and thought I would offer some more info! Typically, if the accumulator bottle is failing, your nitrogen pressure will not be at spec. I believe pressure should be 100 bar. If pressure is low, you will notice that your rock valve will not shift as hard as it used to either. Food for thought.......hope it helps! |

That unit should have two (2) five (5) liter Hydac bottles attached to the drivers side pump sub-frame under the diamond plate cover closest to the hopper. If it only has a single bottle (which didn’t happen until late ’97 to ’98 it will be a six (6) liter Hydac unit. Repair kits are readily available and it is an easy fix. Go to Hydac’s website for the parts breakdown and procedure. Remember to remove the Schroeder valve and leave it out until reassembly is complete. And I would store the unit with minimal pressure in it. Get a recharge kit also, or make your own and service the accumulator when the pump is serviced. They are correct in 100 bar per bottle, if you have harsh concrete I have gone up to 120 bar with problems. With a unit in that year range I have seen more problems with the 140 bar soft switch cartridge (located under the diamond plate cover closest to the turret, mounted on the passenger side) blowing out the Teflon ring; but there is a ¼ turn valve to bypass that relief. That must be repaired ASAP or the return filter could be crushed from full pump pressure going through the return line during every shift of the valve. |

cpr in minnesota does exchange or repair, however the accumilator bottles cannot be shipped if charge,
best bet is to get a spare, and find a shop say a shop that does fire exstinguishers can handle the re charge and of course can put a new bag in thebottle also |

As chris said get a charge kit. When you keep the bottle charged they last a long time. the bladder gets damaged from being low on charge it creases the bag shortning the bag life. when for more oil goes in to get to 200 bar rebuilding them only use nitrogen no shop air |
