It is my understanding that when the air conditioning goes it is over. I have a 98 mack and I have decided to open both windows and it seems to work. The dust sucks but it is better than roasting. My only advice is you do not leave your remote on the seat. It will be out the window. Think of the fuel you are saving.

Try tinting windows, that why no one will see you sweating. Or maybe its time to upgrade. I am looking for a go boom.

Is that your new AC unit?

already been thinking that way. you can buy a rv. ac. for about$ 500.  seems a shame to have to run a inverter, but guess 12v. just doesn't get-r-done.

I've done several A/C installs and by far you will get the most bang/buck with a rooftop unit. Ease of installation and good results but forget the 12v idea. For aroung 2K you'll be lovin' life!
