This coming week i was hired to go pump concrete for an airport control tower at one of the airports around here.??
Its going to be a 4 day job.

Dont know much about it, but i  do know that some people already mention that something has to be done with your remote in orderfor the remote to not interfere with the controls at the airport.

This anybody have any experience on these kinds of jobs.
Who should i talk to about this...

All the help is important.

We have been working on the Atlanta airport for the last 5 years and never had a problem.

I have been to several airports here in canada and all they ask of us is to mount an extra red light (we use a magnetic 12v beacon )on the section highest in the air most of the time as part of air regs. for the planes.

T: The only time I had a problem was when my boom began casting shadows on the radar screen at the SF Airport! It really ( I mean REALLY!!!) didn't go over well with the FAA! No one at the airport had even given any thought to what a 52 would do when you got close to the radar dish! But I had my orange and white checkered flag..

I would rather work at the airport, than work next to another pump fighting for radio space.Never had a problem at the airports!

I have pumped at many airport jobs and run into some interesting dilema's.Some places required a strobe light on boom while others said the flag or both.I have run into issues such as Buckly Air Force Base that had restrictions (hardwire) but other parts of same base radio was ok.

Have your office contact contractor for specific requirments on boom, remote, onsite safety class before entering.Other than that, piece of cake.

we once had a job that the ready mix drivers two way radios would shut the pump off when they would key up two talk but i have personally pumped at hartsfield in atlanta alot and never had a problem. just dont boom that 50m straight up. had a buddy that had a problem sucking back a sponge when they were pouring runway #5 and boomed straight up and they got onto him. they said he actually showed up on their radar LMAO!!! he was in a 52m. good luck on the job.
