nice pics and good looking equipment. How cold was it during that pour. I've pumped in 9 degree in snow with wind chill much lower, pumping a P.T deck. Froze my butt off.

the work load is pretty minimal in the winter, 1 sometimes 2 jobs a day, lotta line pump work, or small booms poking into tents, summer time very busy! some pics of today at Elmendorf A.F.B , footings inside heated tent.

Hi Wizard, I pumped up there for a while with "Yukon" (Albert). Does Dan C. still work at ACS?

thewizard 11-20-2008

I have never heard of anyone named Dan C. ever mentioned. It must be a long time since u pumped up here if you worked for yukon, you probably know it sold to ACS and albert is basically a manager/operator

Hey! The wizard and Too tall who are you people? I worked for Yukon for about 3-4 years before Albert sold out to Greg. I also had my own company up there in Anchorage during the years of 2001-2007. I sold out last year to Dave with Caribou concrete pumping and my name is Sam Woodbridge. So, who are you people?

woodbridge

I remember you.

You are the tallest concretepumper in North America, right?

woodbridge 11-21-2008

No, I do not think I am the tallest concretepumper in North America, but you helped me get my first concrete pump! Remember it was a 1989 36 meter 3 section Putz. It came out of Canada, and was owned by Felix Fuchs. <<<ß----I think that is spelled right.

Sam,

From where I was standing you were the tallest.

I hope that you are doing well. ;~)

Too Tall, I remember Dan Chief. Not sure what that person is up too. Maybe WA? Last, I heard he was a dispatcher for a redi mix company. He did buy an 875 and pumped in Anchorage for a few years. 2002-2004?

Ha, yea I am tall. Hey Bob did you hear Mike Inns got married! He sure is a happy person these days. I am very happy for him. Makes me smile when I think about him :)

woodbridge I'm from Wash.State, Yukon got a pump from down here and I rode with a guy named Jona years ago on an 875 for a short time. I was on my way to Ugashik and had some time to kill. I've known Dan and his Dad (Art) for a long time. I have'nt heard from Dan for at least 5 yrs.he probably went missing or traded the 875 for a sled on the Kenai. ha ha...Sounds like you're also too tall for MR Mack's!

Pump-On Jarvis! you seem to have it covered. I call that 2m boom pump'n!

To Jarvis glad to see Alaska is still building. I will probley see you somewhere next year up there. I take it your pumping in Anchorage. When you run into Albert, Larry and Adan please tell them hello for me. Oh, and anther thing I have never forgot the struggle it is pumping in very cold weather. Can’t say I miss it :  (

To Too Tall Ha, I remember that 32-meter putz 3 section that came out of WA. I also remember Jona. Dang, I wish I knew what happened to that old boy. You know he ran that 875 for a few months and quit. He then started being a bouncer out in Wasilla and I just lost contact with him.

Well it’s all a small industry when you think about it. Take care you two and it was nice to meet you both over the net :  )

woodbridge, Jonah is now the bar tender at the Borialis Beach club in Wasilla (same place) As a bouncer he got bounced a few times too many. HA! I still se him around june/july on my way to Ugashik. THE BBC in Wasilly where the odds are good but the goods are ODD.

Wow, ha I had no idea Jona was still around! Tell him hi for me if you see sooner than me :)
