I run a little 28m putz. My problem is i,m presuring out when just going throught the boom. I,ve check all elbows and pipe but everything is cool. I,m running about 2000 or 2100 hydro pressure. It should not be that high. The mud is good, nothing has changed. My worry is a hydro pump may be going. Does anyone know the problem

Ruck.

My schwing does that sometimes. I believe its a combination of gold mud in the pipe, and mud not mixed enough. Last week I had a load that wouldn't pump so I dumped the hopper and put in a bag of motor mix to prime and it pumped fine. If it does it after a good prime? Check for leaks. One time I had my rear "o" ring on the elbow leaking grout( it doesn't take much) this will ungrease the mud. Loss of grout is not good it fills the pipe with unpumpable mud. If your pump pressure is high your pump is ok. Mine maxes at about 300 bar. You can adjust it.

sounds like a mix problem or buildup somewhere to me if its buildup your go devil will find it if, your pulling a sponge youll have to listen closely and when your sponge stops stop the pump find where the sponge is and theres your problem,to find out if its the mix add a little water see if your pressure drops, hope that helps.

If pressure going to maximum(around 300 bar ), pipes and elbows is clear , then maybe the s-valve gasket is worn out.

Today, I had a problem priming and pumping. Way to much pressure. It was harsh footing mix. I think the problem was my pipe being dirty. I've been sucking a 5"soft sponge. Also bad mud. They use a lot of fly ash to save money. The second job( same mud) it pumped great because my pipes were clean.
