Schwing Promotes O’Malley to V-P Sales and Marketing

St Paul MN (December 7, 2009) - Schwing America Inc, a leading manufacturer of construction equipment, has named long term employee Tom O’Malley, to the position of vice-president, sales and marketing for the company. The promotion comes after O’Malley served the manufacturer for 13 years in various capacities. “Tom’s product knowledge and strong commitment to customer service made him the natural choice for this position, “explained Schwing America CEO Brian Hazelton.   

O’Malley began his career at Schwing as a regional manager and relocated to White Bear in 2001 for the position of marketing manager. Prior to working with Schwing, Tom spent twelve years within the concrete industry.  His most recent title was director of marketing, national accounts, and product development.  In his new position, O’Malley will have overall responsibility for the sale and marketing of all Schwing parts and products throughout North America. 

Tom has been active in the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) since 2001 and is currently the co-chair of the ACPA Promotion Committee.  Tom is also a current vice-president of the Concrete Pump Manufacturers Association (CPMA), and is the current chair of the Con Expo-Conn Agg Exhibit Space and Rules Committee.  O’Malley is a graduate of Indiana University and resides with his wife Susan and two sons in Stillwater MN.
