I ran one just like in the late 70's for cross. It was my fisrt pump. Charles Cross ask me what color I wanted it painted and I chose orange. The Unimog was good for 50 mph on the highway. The main section folded out side ways and pined with hyd. hand vale . Pipe line sealed with a oring that always leaked. Ended up installing a clamp joint and when boom was pinned and had to shimmy out on the boom to clamp the pipe . |

Wow.. What a machine.. See how far we've come in so short time.. Some brands even a bit too far in my opinion.. Was out with a very latest model of one of the big brands today. (not saying names) TOO much switches is what I say.. Seems like they think the harder it is to get the machine to work the safer it is.. One big relief though.. My dream come thrue.. All these years I was wondering how much hydro pressure is used to make the drum go round.. Now we get a display in the cab where we can see that info.. What a relief.. That realy makes my day a lot easyer!!! |
