just wondering if there is anyone on here from the central iowa area. i am interested in becoming an operator. i have been studying the art of concrete pumping the last couple years and figured this may be a good place to start. any help is appreciated. thanks, richard

I am an old Iowa boy. But I am FROM Iowa, far from. If I wanted to learn how to pump concrete in Des Moines I would go to Star Equpt or Sun pumping. You would, I am sure, get the correct training from either company.

i stopped by sun concrete pumping the other day and chatted for a while. i sent my app in today...they dont neeed anyone right now but they will keep me in mind. i am just trying to decide what i want to do with myself. i am doing linework right now and have been very interested in pumping for the last couple years and have read up on it alot. sun is with local 235 i believe. any information sure is appreciated.

  all the pump companies in in the des moines area are in the union.  Sun is the biggest, and have the most customers, but watch out Jeff can be tempormental at times but over all he is a nice guy.  Jimmie is a great boss he will never lie to you, turn over is slow there, look at Premiere there a growing company, all the others are bad bad bad I wouldn't work for any one else
