1993,was highest earned in company and broke $70k.DIA and the local economy was the biggest contributor. The hours really took it's toll.

Plenty of times. when I first got in the trade it was a pretty common thing for most .  I  had not done it in a few but did it last year again. I know a few mixer drivers who even broke 90k last year

I'll never try that crap again, Cuts in to my "Catch'n & Kill'n" time too much! I Work to live not live to work. I let my "Hero" membership expire a while ago! lol. Besides it burns my A$$ to pay 10k in taxes!

You got it Ruck! 3&1/2 years ago I got smacked head-on by a drunk driver! He died and I did breifly. Broke 16 bones, Crunched both legs, pelvis, 2 vertibrae, left arm&collar bone. Crushed larynx was the worst! Traecheotomy (hole in neck) for 2 mos. wheelchair for 4 mos. Lost 1 vocal cord (half my voice) for ever. I was back on the payroll in 6 months outta stubordness. The drunk was on the clock for a pretty big insur. company. I dont do this for money. I could'a retired last year with the settlement I got. But I love this shit baby!  Got a whole new view on life, Just like your self! What amazes me is the respect I get from employers when they know you really dont NEED to be here, You like to.        Pump-On Ruck!

Ruck, Usually when a friend tells me they been "clean" for some time its because of booze or dope. Bones heal, Stitchs come out, I could'nt fathom bein sick like that! I'll say a prayer for ya man. I may act ruff & tuff but when it comes to a brother bein down... Well there's just too few of us to not care about one another!!  Stay on your path Ruck, Its the path of the Rightgious Man     Pump-On,TT

SOCAL Works just as hard as any of us do. He earns every dime he makes just like any operator they have.  He will run anything on the lot whether it is a line pump with hundreds of feet of system, the old 23 meter, or his big bad ass 61. I respect the hell out of him. It has nothing to do with him being the Boss mans son. I got to spend a few weeks in San Diego With him and the Merli Crew. They all work harder than most of the people I have seen in this industry. Their equipment and there customers will vouch for that. He is first class just as well as Merli San Diego  is a first class outfit. If it was up to me i would still be driving one of their trucks down the road but the lord works in mysterious ways. Justin I got your back lol Hope all is well out there. I messaged you last week. Give me a call or shoot me an email. See ya

Ruck: Keep The Faith Man! It's been almost 20 years for me,and it was the BEST thing I've ever done. I've know how hard it can be to be clean and sober in this business, so here's my salute!!
