There are company's quoting their 32 Meter's at $75/hr and $ 1.25/yd. Please, someone explain to me Whats the point of this? How are they making any money by doing this? I don't get it.

But alas, there is always the lure of the lower price and that is what these contractors want, their cake and eat it too!

STICK TO YOUR GUNS, trim your expenses to the bone and weather the famine. WATCH YOUR GOVERNMENTAL REPRESENTATIVES, see the approaching bills before them, AND WRITE THEM OR E-MAIL THEM TO EXPRESS YOUR THOUGHTS ON HOW THEY SHOULD VOTE.

In all fairness it has to be said, everyone has to do what they have to do. Unfortunately, I personally have learned that with this industry we are truly locked into expenses. It cost everyone in the industry money every time we pump. I came to this realization when I purchased the first half of my boom pipe. At that time I realized the company I go up against. It is going to cost them $100,000 to refit their booms. So I hope they don't send machines out for six hundred bucks any where in the state LOL. If your machine is paid off? YOU ARE SET UP TO WIN! DON'T BLOW IT! This is a tricky business and you have to do things right or you are screwed!

Good luck the guy pumping for 75 bucks an hour and a buck fifty a yard?!! Evan if the truck was paid. Those cost can't keep up the machine let alone make a living!

i agree the stimulus is shit it does not solve anything i hope he is as smart as everyone thought he was but i have my doubts wasnt much of a choice in the election but u play with the cards u are dealt

Well if you can handle the losses why not follow another company down in prices? Before you explode let me explain.

If you are not working against more than one or two companies and you have any idea they are over extended follow them down they started it and if they can not stand the loss they will loose. You will eventually have less competition.

Before you call me any names, I do not do this. My prices are where I think they should be and I do not discount.

But I can not say I would never discount. If someone came into town and started to discount to steal work I probable would just to see them squirm.

"we all cut" yes I have but to what point my contract rates which is 5 dollars an hour and 25 cents a yard thats what we give on our pumps thats it , now our pumping and finishing if your in that business you have a lot more room to play with prices thats were I want go down to much responsibility and headaches and everyone knows there operating costs in these days if your doing all you can to cover those and still cant yall do what yall have to do Im not in your position to have to get that low, would I ? I havent yet and Im bidding decent jobs all the time and getting my share so as of now I say no have I been in bidding wars yes but I have my limits to where I can go I know them as I hope so do you know yours I just dont think its good to go out with equipment and labor just to turn over money gotta get the Benjamins baby
