The president of Putzmeister Japan Hiroshi Suzuki and his family were directly impacted by the tsunami that hit Japan a little over one year ago. The fishing village of Oura that his father is from, and family still lives in, is located in one of the hardest-hit areas of Japan and sadly Hiroshi lost family members during the tragedy. As the village continues work on rebuilding, they are in need of funds to install a new boat winch. The Luxembourg Red Cross has donated $84,000 towards this cause but the village still needs $40,000 to complete the project. http://www.facebook.com/SupportOuraProject Hiroshi is pictured in the attached image, shaking hands with Dave Adams upon the arrival of the two 70Z-Meter's in Japan last year. |

What a great opertunity for Mr Suzuki to use his position at Putmeister to talk with the super people at Sany, now that they're one company, to ask them for some help! It's such a feel good story: Chinese company steps in and helps Japanese community. |
