Auto greasers are great ! If you know how to use them. They are adjustable. They have a plastic screw cap on the side. Take it off and you can see there is a circut board inside with a adjuster for time sensitivity. I adjust mine 2 times a year. Because when its hot the grease flows easier and tends to overgrease and makes a mess. in the winter turn it back up. They work Great. And you can rely on them, You just have to monitor it. The only real benifit is you dont have to mess with a grease gun and handle grease as often. As far as what grease to use? It would depend if i lived in a cold or hot climate. And if it was my own pump I might even switch greases during the seasons. But i use what they give me to use here. Something else that is VERY crucial, I cant figure out why no one here will use a fuel additive. The low sulfer fuel is very harsh to the fuel system. That fuel injector pump needs lubed also and its like running alcohol through it which strips the lubercicity (Is that a word?). I would also like to see a oil additive. I know these engines are durable. But it will show up in fuel cost and lower engine wear. These engines idle too much to have no additional lubracants. And just to add to the post, When at a stop light, take it out of gear, Take your foot off the clutch till its time to go, It will save many miles of future clutch use. Use that engine brake too, Thats self explanitory. Hey thats about a good .75 cents worth. Do i get any change back? :quest:(Real Trucks dont have spark plugs) Can you say Cummins ?
