there is nothing worse than a hose man who likes to "paint" the slab. you know the type; wrap one arm around the hose and expect you to cover every single re-bar square just right. meanwhile you can see they're getting to high so you move them, just so they can push the hose right back to where you got them away from. then the crew starts looking at you like you're the asshole in this situation. add to this the language barrier and it makes for a shitty day. then you think, the hell with 'em. it's their problem not mine. until you realize they're telling their boss you suck and you're more likely not getting the call back to that job.

Pour it high and watch'em cry.

The place,Downtown Denver "tabor center".Part of flatworkers contract,mud on deck at 7 am.One mourning flatworkers climbing ladder,they filled there britches.There was 10 yards sitting there in a pile waiting for them when they got there.

ahh flat workers.  dont worry,  if the hose man cant do his job what can you do but yours.  if its from ignorance or stupidity, you f*&# with me, i f*&# with you.

johnjohnjohn, if you had to 'work with' that crew again, would you really want to?  i miss out on certain jobs cause the foreman dont want me and i would rather not be around the foreman.  i sure your boss would talk to you before he made any judgement call.

Print some of these out and hand them out on the jobsite!!

sometimes you want to help the hose man and stop and tell them hey, why dont you run it this way cause if you dont you aint last very long. but when they just smile at you  and shake their hed yes theres not much more you can do but just sit back and let him beat himself up, so i say f%$# it pour it out

  Piss on it man, if they wanna be that stupid and ignorant let em get that crap knocked out of em.  Give 'em the ride of there life.  Guaranteed they'll think twice before they do it again.

i always hated showing people how to make their day better just to do it again tomorrow with another crew doing the same stupid stuff. The ones that listen, end up having a better day at work. 

I think its good to show them once, if they dont listen flog the arse out of them untill they get it , if the concrete crew are blaming you take the hose off the hose man for a bit , then give it back they soon realise who the goose is!
