Hi, Just wondering if anyone is interested in listing any bad paying customers on here to warn other pumpies, as it seems many bad or non-paying customers tend to rack up an account, then jump ship to another pumpy and do the same again... and again... and again! If this is not allowed on here, just let me know. I have a couple I could list to warn others of... Cheers :–)

We use the services of EC Credit Control. We are in Perth, but I'm pretty sure that they operate Australia wide.

Since using them, we've had no bad debtors.  www.eccreditcontrol.com   definately worth a look

Hi there, five years ago my company had to implement credit applications for all  customers with a max 14 days credit terms. It was a very risky move because we didn't want to offend our strong and loyal customer base but we became very tired of chasing our hard earned money. Some of our customers all of a sudden to our surprise would not sign or put their name to our credit applications, so this made us very wary of these concreatures, builders and contractors therefore making us tell them C.O.D. onsite or NO PUMP!  In some ways this has harmed us and our employees but we have had no losses and it has improved our cashflow.  I know other pump firms in brisbane that have gone under due to giving credit to people that they don't even know just so that they can turn a wheel, but good service and good staff, certified booms and late model machines come at a price and it is about time contractors realised this.  GONE ARE THE DAYS OF 30, 60, AND 90 DAY ACCOUNTS!  Another thing we have done is organized a merchant facility with our bank to accept credit card payments on site and customers actually like this and the pump leaves the job being paid.  Regards, concerned pumpy.
