Sign of the times is right. He/she is not the first, and won't be the last. Usually an individual with enough talent to grow a company to that size will bounce back. I wish them well.

Dear phoenix  compassion is what is appropriate at this point not public disgrace which is not allowed on this site. As adults we should all know that compassion and grace is what we ourselves would like to receive and that is what we should give others. I would rather see this web site shut off than see it used to hurt or poke fun at someone when they are down. I have no problem banning any account that thinks we should expose someones misfortunes so please do not do it.

Just remember nobody knows the whole story, nobody knows or walks in that mans shoes. Do not under any circumstances use this message board to hurt a brother in the concrete pumping industry.

Please.

One more thing, many industry icons are losing pumps right now. Work is slow in most places. I know of many companies that are having problems. Let us not as an industry make fun of them or at those that are suffering. I truly believe that the man who has troubles is not as bad off as the man that mocks him. Lets do what we can to maintain a professional attitude and lets maintain our dignity as individuals and as an industry.

Respect in this industry at this day and age is gone. There no longer is such a thing as loyalty or professionalism, because the only way when things slow down, everyone goes into reverse, and either drops their price or set rates.

Fuel prices and insurance rates are thru the roof, and yet big or small all the owners to get the work keep dropping the rates. They should have stayed operators.

When business slows, I myself am inclined to raise my price so I can meet my budget, not wear out my machine thinking I will make it up in volume. Stay on the couch and not make money.

Everyone that drops their price to get the job is the first loser, and the builder or developer is the one taking the money to the bank.

I have no respect for anyone in this industry that does not promote the industry.

If you pump cheap, you defame this industry, not promote it. WE ARE A SPECIALTY CONTRACTOR WITH ALL THE RESPONSIBILTY FOR ALL ASPECTS OF THE JOBS THAT WE TAKE ON. WHY WOULD YOU LET ANYONE DICTATE YOUR PRICE, WHEN YOU SHOULD BE DOING SO BECAUSE IN THE END, YOU ARE LIABLE. Over population of equipment, and selling by price and not service is what is destroying our Industry. If you all do not wake up soon, you will soon find yourself back in kindergarten, because you damn sure did not learn the first time around.

If you are not in business to make a profit, get out. If you are giving up your equity to put others out, get out.

Everyone cries, but no one does anything to promote the progression of this industry because of their business practices. It makes me sick

ANYONE CAN BE A PUMP OPERATOR, HOW ABOUT BEING AN INDUSTRY LEADER, JUMP OUT ABOVE THE REST AND SET AN EXAMPLE FOR EVERYONE TO FOLLOW, AND QUIT BEING A BUNCH OF DUMBASSES GIVING AWAY YOUR MONEY.

Buildings are no cheaper to put up today than they were yesterday. By lowering your price you are not lowering your cost; you are only aiding in the redistribution of wealth........ from you to them.
