As some of you know, ive got a trailer pump and im looking to go one step bigger and get a 24mtr boom, can anyone tell me what they would buy as a first make of boom.

e.g   easy to use and easy to work on if any probs happen!

oh and happy new year to you all.

Herman.  Your market over the pond is quite a bit different from North America.  Buy one that has a good dealer in your locale.  I don't think you can go wrong with Schwing or Putz.

Is your work likely to be more urban, downtown work?  If so, a squeeze pump might be the ticket.  But you've got to have a real nice mix for them.

I have always though a 36 meter was the optimal size pump to start with. It has enough reach for commercial, but is not oversized for residential. However it all depends on what your customers are willing to foot the bill for as well. I recommend a 36Z from Putz with 11" cyclinders. Great pump--many applications. Takes a little getting used too. Good Luck!
