Just where will the next punter get the cast reducer and two back bends ?And just how did a Hydroseal end up in Germany. Still, on the plus side, the next operator will be a fully qualified fitter in next to no time.

The dealer would have been better off saving his money on the paint job, selling the man chassis, and weighing the rest in for christmas. |

Who makes that transparent pump transition section? Pretty trick stuff! |

That looks like one of Dyer's own pumps.Just how could you compete with machines that came from the Jurasic period ? That machine has the late type hopper,I never had one of those, just a good CP9 to break out the bottom of the hopper. My kids would have to be starving before I'd take a job on one again !

for those who never see one before- hydroseal mini, midi or maxi, 1.take a perfectly good s valve and turn it upside down with the shaft at the bottom-(huge dead area now in the bottom of the hopper) 2. stick a cheap italian boom on it, the 32/4 used to break clean off, the 40 folded the front legs in and nose dived 3. mounted it on a chassis with a 1:1 transfer box- flat out was at 2800rpm all in all, a real quality piece of british engineering! |

The hydroseal 32m had a similar footprint across the front to a German 42m, but once you came back past 90 degrees to the turret it had a tendancy to frighten the crap out of you as it raised riggers and wheels off the ground if pumped anywhere near full radius. The pump chassis was too light and loved to flex.As for the upside down valve, the hydroseal had a hollow hyraulic ram over the shaft of the valve which adjusted the valve automatically ,with oil from the end of the change over . But with all that dead concrete in the bottom of the hopper the valve can't cross fully, and the valve seal is lost as the valve is pushed away from the spec plate. |
