If people could talk about the Sany Accident like they talk about the Schwing accident than I would leave it up. I am not about covering anything up but I will not let haters or racist trash any of my sponsors. Every Boom Manufacture has had catastrophic failures, each have learned from it and produce a better safer pump. |

Todd, I believe if Schwing sponsored this site, you would not allow the post or the pictures. just like your little China buddys. |

In the interest of safety an accident involving ANY Mfg machine is news and the persons and property that are affected feel the pain and loss no mater what caused it.
The point of talking about it should be to learn and grow. Boom inspector might have slipped up with a comment, but any one of us that is perfect and makes no mistakes isn’t needed since they are perfect......... and we can’t even compete. I think it takes stones to step up and move on and I applaud anyone that wants to grow and learn, the fact this and any industry continues to have accidents is the basic reason to continue to work together.
As I have traveled throughout the field and conversed with fellow industry participants I have heard a common complaint that the bashing and nit picking is costing the site members. This is not good, those that choose to find the site a waste of time due to a small minority of problem children will miss out on a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow.
My 2 Cents.

Well said traveletech. The problem with this industry is there are somany people that are afraid to share/help the next person before they have trouble and when they do have trouble they are right there to say something bad about them. |

It would be great to be able speak about problems and or concerns with safety, machine issues and so on. but having worked for one of the industy leaders, they are very concerned about who's talking about them. This specific company has someone reading these boards and reporting to the head guy on who maybe talking about them. They don't want their issues talked about because the word may get out some how. On this site one could not remotely talk about problems if that manufacture was a sponsor. So is an open forum the answer? |

Schwing is a big sponsor of this site, every year for the last 3 or 4 years now. They sponsor the complete video section of this site. |

Mr. Wing, please dont bite the hand that feeds you, if you want to talk bad about the guy that OWNES this site, then e-mail him, dont call out the guy who, at no cost to us, lets us post pretty much what we want. If you dont like the guidelines, then you put up your own money and start your own website. |
