Yes it is in Melbourne, gets at least one truck a month!

really dangerous because nobody does anything to improve security in this way? I hope that the driver has not done anything wrong ....

He had to of been stroking to get that far under the bridge.

I seen a mixer driver do about the same thing. He came on the wrong road, down a hill next to a job i was doing. He locked up the brakes and just flattened the drum a little. 

We have one low bridge here in Denver,so far in the last 30 or so collected 4 booms that I can remember.

I had a colleage that tried that with an old 36m schwing.. The result is a bit different.. At only about 15/20mph.. The guy went half way through the front window.. The bridge was quite dammaged and believe also moved an inch or so.. The water tank and hydr tank just detached from the truck... But the boom was 'ok'.... from 20 to 0 mph in 1 inch.. I would have liked to know the G-forces on that one..

Luckaly most pumpers are to smart to do this to themselves.. This guy was normaly a crane driver ;-)

years ago there was an operator that always raised his 42m boom to wash out.He got into a pissing match with wife on cell phone and drove off.Can you imagine the horror of it all when that darned bridge jumped out at him.I'm talk'n about a interstate bridge at 55 mph,kersmack,totaled !!!
